Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026

The short version: this website does not use cookies. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics. You can browse the whole site without a single cookie being set on your device.

No cookies — how does that work?

Most websites set cookies to track visitors or to run third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics. We deliberately built this site not to need any of that:

  • No analytics cookies: instead of a tracking script, our own server keeps a simple, anonymous count of page visits (see below). Nothing runs in your browser and nothing about you is shared with third parties.
  • No session cookies for visitors: the contact form is protected using signed, stateless tokens rather than a browser session, so it works without cookies too.
  • No advertising or social media trackers: there are none on the site, full stop.

The one thing we store in your browser

When you dismiss the notice banner at the bottom of the page, we save a single flag in your browser's localStorage (a small storage area on your own device) so the banner doesn't reappear on every visit. It contains no personal information, is never sent to our server, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for traynor.pro.

Anonymous visit counting

To understand which pages are useful, our server records each page view: the page's address, the date and time, and an anonymised (one-way hashed) version of the visitor's IP address so repeat views aren't double-counted. This happens on our server — nothing is stored on or read from your device — and the data cannot be used to identify you. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Staff sign-in

The site has a private administration area used only by Traynor.Pro staff. Signing in to that area sets a session cookie for the member of staff. Ordinary visitors never receive this cookie.
