Traynor.Pro ("we", "us") is a callout-based computer repair and tech help service covering Crawley, West Sussex and the surrounding area. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
We are the "data controller" for the information described below. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@traynor.pro.
If you use the contact form (or email us), we receive your name, email address and message. We use these only to reply to you and to arrange any work you've asked about. The notification email our server sends us also includes the network (IP) address and browser details the enquiry came from — we keep that solely to help identify and block spam and abuse.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you choose to send us.
If you become a customer we keep the details needed to do the job and run the business: your name and contact details, your address (we're a callout service — we need to know where to come), notes about your device and the work carried out, and the quotes and invoices we issue. We never look through personal files on your device beyond what the repair requires, and we don't copy or keep them.
Lawful basis: performing our contract with you; keeping invoicing records is also a legal obligation (UK tax law).
This site sets no cookies for visitors and uses no third-party analytics (see our Cookie Policy). Instead, our own server keeps an anonymous count of page views: the page address, the date and time, and a one-way hashed (anonymised) version of the visitor's IP address so repeat views aren't double-counted. This data cannot be used to identify you and is never shared.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding which pages are useful.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with advertisers. The only third parties that process it on our behalf are our website hosting and email providers (based in the UK), who store the site's database and deliver our email. If the law requires it, we may also have to share information with authorities (for example, invoice records with HMRC).
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email info@traynor.pro — we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the homepage.
